Before:

Mica and her husband were looking to move to a new apartment because their current housing contract was about to end. But because of their low scores (with Mica in the low 500s), their applications kept getting denied.

Mica and her family had relocated to Seattle after her husband received a job opportunity to work there.

It was way more expensive compared to Michigan -- which they lived in at the time...

But her husband's company ended up paying for their home for two years.

"I think we were so comfortable with our bills paid. Until they said it was coming to an end and we would have to move."

Their housing contract -- which her husband's company was paying for -- was coming to an end.

They had to find a new apartment as soon as possible.

But there was only one problem:

Because of their poor credit scores, their applications kept getting denied.

When Mica finally figured out why that kept happening...

She realized her credit report and scores were a mess.

Had she fixed them sooner, they probably would have gotten approved.

Instead, they had to settle on renting a $1,300 a week -- or $5,200 a month -- 2 bedroom hotel room in Seattle after their housing contract ended.

It was a wake up call for Mica.

She realized there was no way out of their situation unless she fixed her credit.

She had to do something.

Her husband had done that before.

He was paying $40 a month for this credit repair service.

And even though they were taking things off of his credit report that hurt his scores... they would still put them back on again.

So he wasn't able to get them removed completely... and it was a waste of their hard earned money.
